Overview

Connect Parable to the Anthropic Compliance API for audit activity, organization directory data, and optional claude.ai content metadata (chats, projects). This connector is separate from the Claude Admin connector, which uses an Admin API Key for usage and cost reporting.

Prerequisites

Enterprise required. Compliance API access requires Claude Enterprise. A Primary Owner must enable the Compliance API before creating keys.
  • Claude Enterprise plan
  • Primary Owner role on the claude.ai organization (to enable Compliance API and create Compliance Access Keys)
  • Compliance API enabled at claude.ai > Organization settings > Data and privacy

Setup Guide

Enable the Compliance API

  1. Sign in to claude.ai as the Primary Owner.
  2. Open Organization settings > Data and privacy.
  3. Under Compliance API, click Enable.

Create a Compliance Access Key

  1. On the same page, open Compliance access keys.
  2. Click Create key.
  3. Select these scopes for the default connector taps:

  1. Copy the key immediately. It is shown only once.
Copy your now!This is the only time it will be displayed. Store it in a secure password manager before closing this page.
Do not use keys from Claude Console > Settings > API keys (standard API key) or Admin keys (Admin API). Those are for different connectors and API families.

Connect in Parable

  1. In Parable, open Settings > Connectors > Add connector.
  2. Select Anthropic > Claude Compliance.
  3. Paste your Compliance Access Key.
  4. Save and run Test connection.
Success! If you received a 200 OK response with valid data, your credentials are configured correctly. You can now proceed to configure this connector in Parable.

Optional taps

By default, Parable syncs activities, organizations, and organization_users only. Enable additional taps in connector settings if you need chat or project metadata. Optional taps use the same Compliance Access Key; no extra scopes are required beyond read:compliance_user_data.
